5 MLM Success Tips
By Pam Legall
Are you a new to network marketing and looking for ways to cut to the chase and figure out how to make a great income starting now? Or,
have you been in the business for a while and are tired of not getting anywhere and have chased away all of your friends and family?
If your answer is “Yes,” I can empathize with you. I have been there. When I first got started I was so excited about these great products and
had visions of people lining up by the hundreds to sign up. The dream was a great one, but I felt flat on my face in the execution. I went gung
ho on telling everybody I knew about how great the products are and the science and research and on and on and on. I failed to realize that their
eyes had glazed over one too many times or noticed the dead silence on the other end of the phone. Does any of this sound familiar?
Well, today I want to share with you a few key nuggets, 5 in fact, that have helped me tremendously in my business.
1. Believe in your product or service
You have to believe that your product or service is able to deliver on the promise of the benefits. This is important because as you talk to
prospects, one of the things that they are asking themselves is, “does this work?” If you believe it does, then you will speak with conviction,
which is a powerful tool in prospecting and closing.
2. Always use a script
It is easy to think that you can just talk to people and help them see the benefits of what you are offering. The truth is that without a script
you are merely winging it hoping that something will stick. The danger here is rambling on and on and before you know it, you have lost a
would-be client. A good script will help you accomplish several objectives:
1. keep focus on what to say and when
2. prevent rambling
3. prepare you to handle objections
4. with practice, help you to be successful and confident in your delivery
Using a script does not mean that you are not a good marketer. It actually means the exact opposite. All of the top network marketers will
tell you they always use a script and that it is critical to long-term success.
3. Be yourself
Are you one of those people who can spot someone acting fake in an instant? Well, most people can, too. To build credibility with your prospects,
you have to be genuine, be yourself. Even with using a script, you have to sound like yourself and not some announcer, “have I got a deal for
you,” type of tone. That vision of people lining up to join your business will quickly turn to them running away in droves. Find your comfort
zone in what is friendly, but professional. Practice and memorize the script so that it feels natural to you and allows you to be your best. One
bonus extra nugget here: always smile when talking to a prospect in person or over the phone. It puts the prospect at ease, which will help
you to relax and be yourself.
4. Contact leads every day
You can’t get people to join your team if you are not even talking to anyone in the first place. How can you build a network marketing business
if you are not talking to any leads? The only way to grow is to make contact with people every day, be it over the phone, in person or via email.
You have to get your message out there and then have the opportunity to turn that lead into a prospect. One of the other bonuses is that as you
talk to leads, using your script of course, you hone your skills. The more contacts that you make, the better you become and the more team
members you can begin adding into your business.
5. Get trained
The reality is that there is a science in the psychology of marketing and it is critically important to learn and understand that in order to be
successful. Look at companies like Nike and Coke. They market an image and consumers buy it up by the billions. The other truth is that to become
good at something you have not done before, you have to first learn how to do it. To do your current job you probably had to have some training
in school and/or on the job. Could you change jobs today without having to take some sort of training? Well, network marketing is no different,
no matter what your upline may say. Training is critical to success. I like to look at those who are wildly successful in this industry, making
$100,000’s and in some cases $1,000,000’s of dollars. Every one of them will tell you that they invested in themselves and their business by
enrolling in a comprehensive network marketing training program.
Conclusion
By applying these 5 important tips, you will begin the journey to success in your network marketing business.
